Morey Boogie was receiving a lot of rider feedback in the late 1980s. Some riders wanted a skegless version of the Mach 20 RS, while other hoped Morey would reissue the original first generation Mach 10 (without the wingers). Morey decided to combine these two older models and rebrand them as a new model. The Mach 20 XL was born! It featured the same template and stringers as the original Mach 10, and a vinyl deck and fuschia bottom like the Mach 20 RS.
