Turbo set itself apart from other bodyboard manufacturers with ultra stiff boards and hard PVC bottoms. The Special Edition series was Turbo's basic all-around bodyboard and was state of the art in bodyboard design at the time. The SE featured a Turboskin (vinyl) deck, a Turbo high impact plastic bottom, sandwich construction for superior stiffness, and inset fin boxes. Turbo started printing funky graphics, seen here, onto the vinyl decks in 1985.
